Am I assigned a dentist?
No. One of the advantages of the CIGNAPlus Savings
program is that you can choose any dentist or specialist from our
nationwide network of participating dental providers. When calling to
schedule an appointment, be sure to verify that the dentist is an
active participant in the program. Click here to find a participating
dentist. Or call the toll-free number on your ID card and one of
our friendly service representatives will assist you with locating
a participating network dentist.
Do I have to submit claim forms?
No. Since the CIGNAPlus Savings program is not
insurance, there are no claim forms to file. However, you must
present your ID card at the network dentist's office in order to
receive the discount. You are then responsible for paying the
dental office the reduced fee at the time of service.
What about specialty care?
Referrals aren't needed to visit a specialist. Simply select a specialist from the
nationwide network, verify participation in the network, and
schedule an appointment for treatment. Remember to bring your ID
card since you will need to present it to the dental office at the
time of service in order to take advantage of the discounts.
Can I use the program when I travel? What if I am a student
living away from home?
The CIGNAPlus Savings program uses a nationwide
network of dentists so vacationers, students, and anyone away from
home can participate in the program. Check the provider directory
to make sure there is a participating dentist in your area. Just
be sure to verify the dentist's participation in the program prior
to scheduling an appointment and bring your ID card to the dental
office at the time of service.
When can I start using the program?
Once you are enrolled and receive your ID cards, you are
eligible and can begin to access the discounted dental services.
What if I lose my ID card?
Simply call one of our friendly service representatives
toll-free at 1.877.521.0244 to request a replacement ID card.
Representatives are available Monday through Friday, from 8:00
a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST.
Or, send a written request to CIGNA Dental, 1571 Sawgrass Corporate Parkway,
suite 140, Sunrise, FL 33323-3099. Be sure to include your name, employer
group/name (if applicable), address, phone number, and effective
date. Then, one of our service representatives will complete the
request for a replacement ID card and will contact you if there
are any questions concerning the request.
Keep your ID card in a safe place because it is required each
time you visit the network dental office in order to receive
discounted services.
What do I need to receive the dental discount?
You need to bring your ID card and cash, check or credit cards
to pay the network dental office their reduced fee. The ID card
alerts the dental office to charge you the discounted fee for the
dental service/procedure.
How can I find out what the discounted fee for a particular
dental service would be?
You can contact one of our friendly service representatives
toll-free at 1.877.521.0244 for information about discounted fees
at participating network dental offices. Service representatives
are available Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
EST. Fees may vary by zip codes and dental offices.

CIGNAPlus Savings® is a
dental discount program that provides members access to discounted
fees, pursuant to schedules negotiated by CIGNA Dental with
participating providers, which members are responsible for paying
in full, directly to participating providers. CIGNA Dental refers
to CIGNA Dental Health, Inc. and Connecticut General Life
Insurance Company.
Although all participating providers go
through a credentialing process to assure that they are
appropriately licensed and qualified, CIGNA Dental does not
